411 Narragansett Drive, Rumford, RI 02916

The Children’s Workshop in Rumford offers high quality childcare and early learning for infants, toddlers, preschool and school age children.  Our spacious, developmentally appropriate classrooms provide plenty of room for learning and play. Each room was designed with our children in mind. They are never restrained by a lack of space and our teachers are able to execute any creative project they think of, large or small! Outside we have two playgrounds (one exclusively for toddlers) where the kids can play, climb, run and get their energy out. Whatever your child is involved in at TCW Rumford is sure to be a fun, learning experience!

Call us today to schedule a tour! We would love to show you what we have to offer! Our school is located on the East Providence/Pawtucket line, in the Narragansett Business Park off Newport Ave (near the old Building 19 - what a Rhode Island way to give directions!)

We are very proud that all 6 of our locations are BrightStars rated programs!
One of the most fundamental decisions as a parent is choosing the right early learning environment to help nurture your child’s learning and development. When researching programs in Rhode Island, parents can look to BrightStars for an indication of quality. The more stars a program has, the more research-based best practices are used to support children, families, and the professionals caring for the children.

Jessica Pabon  |  Director

Hello! My name is Jessica and I am the Director of The Children’s Workshop in Rumford. My career has always consisted of working with children.  Before joining TCW in 2019, I worked for 12 years in a pediatric behavioral health setting on an inpatient crisis stabilization unit.   Although it was a stressful job, it was so rewarding to be able to provide help and support to children and families.  In my role as Director at Rumford, I have enjoyed getting to know the kiddos and families, and have found that working in early childhood education is also quite rewarding.

I am a Rhode Island native and graduate of Salve Regina University, where I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Science with a nursing concentration.  I am fluent in English and Spanish. The passion that fuels me every day is working with children.  I love to watch them grow and learn, becoming critical thinkers and problem solvers.  As the School Director I oversee administration, programming, and the day-to-day at Rumford, but you will also catch me in the classrooms and playgrounds playing with the kiddos!  I love spending time building and nurturing relationships with the children!

I love to spend my free time with my daughter, our yorkie Winston, and my friends.  I love to cook, go to the beach, bike ride, and try new DIY projects around my house.  I am a hands-on learner and hope that we bring a hands-on learning experience to the children at TCW Rumford!

The school is currently open from 7:00 am to 5:45 pm and tuition includes breakfast, hot lunch, and daily snacks.
