The Children’s Workshop in Providence is open to children of all ages, including infants, toddlers, pre-kindergartners, and children in grade school. We offer a unique curriculum, specially designed for each of our individual age groups. We know that the parents of our students lead busy lives, and we want to help them in any way we can.
Our school was custom designed specifically for our students. Each of the classrooms is brightly decorated and appropriate for its intended age group. All of the classrooms also open directly onto our large outdoor playgrounds. If you are interested in an environment created specifically to build confidence and academic success in children, visit The Children’s Workshop. Our staff will be happy to answer any questions you have and give you a tour!
We are very proud that all 6 of our locations are BrightStars rated programs!

MEET YOUR SCHOOL DIRECTOR
Kevin Dorsey | Director
Hello there. I moved to Providence by way of New York in 2017 and have spent the last several years working with various non-profits and government agencies. I worked with AmeriCorps, Providence Public Schools, and Massachusetts DCF before coming to work at The Children’s Workshop in October of 2019. Originally starting as the School Age Program Coordinator, I worked in that position for almost a year, building relationships with kids and families and shaping the School Age program into a fun and safe learning environment.
I am passionate about mentoring youth, as well as volunteer and teacher management. I believe in the power of education and that equity in education is one of the most important issues facing the education field today. Access to proper, fair, and effective learning environments is a right shared by all and I work every day to ensure that we are building a stronger community for students and a network of powerful and inspiring educators.
