The Children's Workshop will be hosting our annual Comedy 4 Our Communities fundraising event on October 6, 2022 at the Rhode Island Comedy Connection.

As our fourth TCW Workshop Way states (we play to learn)... we believe fun, laughter, and love are the essentials of being a lifelong learner - something that is not only applicable to our students; but adults alike. Every year, we host an adults-only, stand-up comedy show to provide our staff, TCW parents, industry partners, dedicated supporters and our community members a night to come together, relax, raise money for a great cause... and... belly laugh like a kid again!

All ticket sales, donations and sponsorships will directly benefit our 5 TCW schools, over 500 young students, and the communities we proudly serve. In addition to the comedy show, the night presents guests with the opportunity to take part in fun (prize winning) games, and a chance to win over 15 awesome raffle prizes!

FEATURING...

the hilarious Ray Harrington!

Ray Harrington, an infectiously charming comedian, will be headlining the show. Ray performs across the globe with hilariously irreverent material and marvelous improvisational riffing that embraces the uncomfortable and the absurd with a smile. He’s been seen on Conan, and his documentary BE A MAN won the LA Comedy Festival before premiering exclusively on Hulu. His first album from Stand Up! Records, The Worst Is Over, debuted at the top of the comedy charts on Amazon and iTunes. His latest album, Overwhelmed, debuted at Number 1 on Amazon and at the top of the Billboard Comedy Charts.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

C4C_Banner_2022-01.png

TCW has the capability to serve over 700 students – most of whom come from families who are low income and qualify for a state childcare subsidy. Unfortunately, even with the support from the RI Department of Human Services (DHS), Rhode Island’s subsidized rates do not yet cover the cost of high-quality care. In fact, the cost gap between private pay full-time tuiton and the DHS rate is staggering.  As a non-profit organization, The Children’s Workshop relies on fundraising, grants and generous donations from our communities to cover this gap.

Hundreds of families rely on The Children’s Workshop, and we are driven to fulfill our mission of sparking confidence, joy and the love of learning in each child.  To support The Children’s Workshop Foundation in our 6th Annual Comedy 4 our Communities event, please consider any of the following:
